Care Instructions – Pure Cashmere Scarves
Your pure cashmere scarf is a luxurious natural fibre accessory designed to be treasured for many years. With proper care, cashmere becomes even softer over time while maintaining its warmth, beauty and elegance.
Washing
- Gentle hand wash only in cold or lukewarm water
- Use a mild wool or cashmere detergent specifically designed for delicate fibres
- Soak briefly and handle gently — do not rub, wring or twist
- Rinse thoroughly in cool water until detergent is removed
- Avoid bleach, fabric softeners or harsh chemicals
Drying
- Gently press excess water out using a clean towel
- Lay flat on a dry towel and reshape carefully
- Dry naturally away from direct sunlight, radiators or heat sources
- Do not tumble dry or hang while wet, as this may stretch the fibres
Ironing & Steaming
- Usually unnecessary due to the softness of cashmere
- If needed, use a cool iron with a protective cloth between the iron and scarf
- Light steaming can help release creases naturally
- Avoid direct high heat on the fibres
Storage
- Fold neatly and store flat in a cool, dry place
- Avoid hanging cashmere for extended periods to maintain shape
- Store in a breathable cotton bag or drawer during warmer months
- Use natural moth repellents such as cedarwood or lavender sachets for protection
General Care Tips
- Avoid contact with rough surfaces or jewellery that may catch delicate fibres
- Allow your scarf to rest between wears to maintain its softness and shape
- Some natural pilling may occur with wear — this is normal for premium cashmere and can be gently removed with a cashmere comb
