COTTON LINEN SCARVES
Cotton Linen Scarves
Since 2021, we have been sourcing a very beautiful range of cotton linen scarves from a boutique designer in India that has a team of skilled artisans making our very lovely scarves and shawls by hand from a blend of cotton and linen in their small premesis.
On their recommendation we opted to use a 50% Cotton and 50% Linen Blend of fibres to ensure that the material is soft and delicate to touch, most important for an accessory that is worn around the neck and close to the face.
Linen is a natural fabric made from the fibres of the flax plant. It has a distinctive texture that is slightly rougher than cotton, but it softens with each wash whilst maintaining its strength. Cotton on the other hand is softer and very absorbent. Both breathe well allowing for air to circulate and cool the body down in hot weather. Thus tis combination of natural fibres work perfectly in unison.
